Public Transport Modelling

Mode choice, patronage forecasting, and network option testing.

Public transport modelling forecasts who will use a service, where they come from, and what they would otherwise have done. That means mode choice done properly, not a fixed split applied after the fact.

Method

We implement and calibrate mode choice components within multi-modal strategic models, refine zone structure along corridors where the geography demands it, and test service and network options against patronage and accessibility objectives.

Deliverables

Patronage forecasts by scenario and year, mode share analysis, corridor and catchment assessment, and inputs prepared for economic appraisal.
