Four-step and multi-modal models that forecast demand across whole networks.
Strategic models forecast travel demand across an entire region, linking land use to network performance. We build, calibrate, validate, and interrogate them so planners can test infrastructure and land use scenarios with confidence.
We start from demographic and land use inputs, review trip generation and distribution parameters, incorporate mode choice and time period factors, then assign demand to the network. Every model is calibrated and validated against observed counts and screenlines before it informs a decision.
Calibrated base year model, forecast year scenarios, a validation report written to the client’s modelling guidelines, and a plain-language interpretation of what the results mean for the decision at hand.
